Hi I’m Miah Buckley, and I’m a year 12 student. I’m proud to hold first place in my school in English Extension 1, English Extension 2, Modern History, Ancient History, Studies of Religion 1, and Visual Arts, demonstrating my dedication across a wide range of subjects. I have also recently attained a High Distinction in the University of Wollongong’s Summer Master Class program (studying Intro to English Literature).

Out of the classroom I am a passionate debater with 8 years of experience, and was named Debating Captain. I credit debating with many of the strong communication and critical thinking skills, which I bring to my tutoring sessions. I was honoured to be named HICES Best Senior Debater in 2023. This experience allows me to guide students not only academically but also in building confidence and articulation.

I specialise in English and History work, offering personalised support that builds foundational skills, confidence, and academic success. Whether it’s mastering essay writing, preparing for exams, or improving study techniques, my approach is tailored to meet each student’s unique needs and goals.

But I also don’t believe school should be your entire life. I spend my weekends tending to our mini goats and my rambunctious border collie!
